Testimonials
The trip to Canada and Alaska was truly a life changing experience. From the moment we arrived in Calgary and met by our tour guide Rick and driver Lavelle; we knew that the trip was going to be one of the best we could expect. Rick and Lavelle were very helpful and managed to keep us all up to make sure that jet lag didn't prove to be a problem. Every thing was sooooooooooooooo easy and nothing was ever too much trouble, the bonding between our fellow travellers, tour guide and driver was nothing short of exceptional.
The tour started on a real high and even when we thought it just couldn't get any better it just kept getting better and better. There were so many highs, to pin-point any one is impossible. Kay and I were slightly sceptical to go on an organised tour. A common interest amongst the group proved to be something that would make this trip one to be remembered. The mixture of ages and diverse farming operations gave everyone the opportunity to compare notes; each and everyone was of great intellectual company. Often one will hear of some horror stories of passengers not getting on well, but this trip was not one of those.
From the farming aspect of the tour everyone felt very well informed, with all the farm visits, livestock auctions, feed lots, irrigation and crop growers they were all very willing to share their knowledge of their particular enterprises and I know that I have gained a huge amount of information of which I have managed to hold many a conversation of informed knowledge with our Canadian counterparts here in WA.
The accommodation was well above our expectations, and this was shared by all our fellow travellers. So much happened in such a short time and Kay and I felt that the amount packed in was nothing short of fantastic. The train trip on the Rocky Mountaineer, the helicopter flight across the top of the Rockies, the list continued to grow of the places that were visited. Every where was just perfect and mind boggling.
Rick had the unique technique of managing to organise the days and pack in as much as possible, even when he could of headed back to the hotel he would ask for a vote for those that wanted to do more sight seeing. He was always readily available to give advise and to make our holiday a total stress free experience. We were all well informed with the plans and never did we feel at a loose end. Lavelle transferred our luggage into hotel rooms, waiting for us! now how good is that?
Kay and I would always feel like Australian Farmers Travel would be our first choice; if travelling to a destination of our liking. Rick and Lavelle became part of the family we travelled with and we were all very sad to say our good bye's. Trevor we have No hesitation to recommend Australian Farmers Travel to anyone thinking of travelling to Canada and Alaska. The choice of representative of Misa Tours is one that is of impeccable standards and the staff; Rick and Lavelle are exceptional ambassadors.
Kay and I would be more than happy when you take bookings for your AFT Canadian trip to be contacted and give our personal recommendations. We would also like to be kept informed of any other locations that AFT organise.
Well done Trevor and Pam. "A trip of a lifetime"
Warm regards
